It's a Wonderful Life: colorized version * HD * – Part 12 of 14

On Christmas Eve 1946 George Bailey (James Stewart) is deeply depressed, even suicidal. Prayers for George are one of the angels. Odbody Clarence (Henry Travers), a second-class angel, is sent to earth to save him, and so earn his wings. Joseph, the head angel, reviews George's life with Clarence. As a 12-year-old boy in 1919, rescued George (Bobby Anderson) the life of his younger brother Harry (Todd Karns) after he fell through the ice on a pond, although George get an ear infectionwere impaired his hearing in one ear. Later, as an errand boy in a pharmacy, was George, his boss, local pharmacist Mr. Gower (HB Warner), having accidentally filling a prescription poison child, while grief-stricken over the death of his son from influenza. From childhood, George's greatest ambition has been to see the world and design bridges and skyscrapers. But he has repeatedly sacrificed his dreams for the welfare of others. He pushes going to college, help in the familyBusiness until Harry graduates from high school and can replace him at the Bailey building society, crucial to many of the disadvantaged people in the city. At Harry's graduation night in 1928 George discussed his future with Mary Hatch (Donna Reed), who has had an eye on him since she was a little girl.
